InCOP 1/InCOP 2/Emotional Awareness: Surviving and Thriving a Career in Law Enforcement

Delivery Location: Oklahoma City National Memorial Center for Education & Outreach -- North side of Journal Record Building, Entrance on 6th Street

Course Description:

InCOP 1 - Participants will earn the importance of their role as a collector in developing actionable intelligence, the behavior based reporting model, the power of intelligence and the civil liberties that attach. They will also develop an understanding of the information-sharing environment.

InCOP 2 - Build a Base - Participants will learn the importance of cultivating community contacts and a system for identifying, initiating contact, and interacting with them to elicit information that supports the development of actionable intelligence.

Emotional Awareness: Surviving and Thriving a Career in Law Enforcement - The two-hour presentationwill explore the emotional toll a career in law enforcement can take on its members and ways to remain emotionally healthy throughout a law enforcement career. Students will explore options to create a healthier emotional environment within their own lives and at their respective agencies.

CLEET Credit: 6 HOURS TOTAL
InCOP 1 = 2 hours (8am - 10 am)
InCOP 2 = 2 hours (10am - Noon)
Emotional Awareness: Surviving and Thriving a Career in Law Enforcement = 2 hours (1pm - 3pm)

NO CHARGE TO PARTICIPANTS.
LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE. MUST BE ACTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT TO ATTEND.

Parking is available at 5th and Robinson Avenue. The rate is $5/day.
