Susan Winchester is a retired Oklahoma State legislator, previously serving House District 43. Mrs. Winchester was the first woman to serve as Speaker Pro Tempore in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She was awarded the Legislative Advocate of the Year for 2002 by the Oklahoma Professional Economic Development Council. She previously served as Chairman of the Banking Subcommittee of the Economic Development and Financial Services Committee and previously served on the Education, Common Education Subcommittee.
Mrs. Winchester serves as a board member for the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, Leadership Oklahoma, the Oklahoma National Memorial and Museum, Leadership Chickasha, American Legislative Exchange Council, and the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism.
