MIPT’s Focus

MIPT's unique InCOP (Information Collection on Patrol) is a series of workshops designed to enhance the capacity of your agency to utilize information/intelligence in support of Intelligence Led Policing, Compstat and Community Policing.

How It Works

MIPT's InCOP workshops incorporate your department's policies and procedures into a basic module with a focus on areas you identify as in need of special attention. The departmental intelligence resources, intelligence products and intelligence successes are highlighted, making the process more relevant to participants.

A comprehensive self-assessment guide informs how MIPT customizes your module. MIPT delivers on a schedule that suits your operational and administrative needs. Delivery models include integration into a department's in-service training cycle, at roll call, as a component of academy training or other model suited to your training process. MIPT's training staff follows-up with a 3 and 6 month post-training assessment.

As a DHS training partner, MIPT offers courses funded by the Homeland Security National Training Program. 

MIPT is an official training provider for the Nationwide SAR Initiative.
